MSc in Structural Design and Construction Management

This postgraduate course is designed for graduate civil/structural engineers with developing careers in the construction industry who aspire to move into senior management positions in structural design practice and management of construction projects. 

The course provides a strategic overview of construction management issues as well as a deep and broad knowledge of advanced structural engineering. The structural engineering part includes the structural design of standard and innovative structures and substructures using modern materials, state-of-the-art techniques, and the latest codes of practice. The management part covers financial, legal and contractual problems associated with the construction process and, application of management techniques and contract administration in the supervision of construction projects.

- Estimating Tendering & Procurement
- Management of Project Risk Quality & Safety
- Structural Design of Buildings in Concrete & Steel
- Seismic Design of Structures & Substructure Design

- Dissertation

Suitable for :

Bachelor’s Degree with a Second Class or above in Civil Engineering, with the following modules, Structural Analysis & Design Engineering Geology & Soil Science & Materials

Applicants should have a minimum Credit pass (C) for English in G.C.E. Ordinary Level, IELTS 6.5 or Esoft Academic English Programme.
